There will be lots of exciting learning to look forward to this year. To get off to a good start, please bring in the following supplies as soon as possible!

Completely filled in contact letter

2 Completely filled in blue cards

$2.99 for The Scholastic News in a sealed envelope with your child's name on it.

1 small pencil bag (Please no boxes. They take up too much room and are noisy.)

2 Sharpened # 2 pencils every day

A family size box of facial tissues

2 Sharpened red lead pencils every day

A roll of paper towels

4 Hard-covered notebooks-with string down the middle page.

Label the outside with the following:
Child's name, Class 1-309. The notebooks should be labeled, Classwork, Science, Books I've Read. Leave the 4th notebook cover blank.

Label the inside front cover of each notebook with the following:
Parents name, address home phone #, work phone #, and a person to contact in emergencies if the parent can't be reached.

1 Folder for homework and notices.

(I will give your child one on the first day of class.

However, when this one gets torn, please replace it. Make sure it has two pockets on the bottom of the inside. One side is for new homework. The other side is for work that was checked and should be kept at home.

Please make sure that you have the following supplies at home to do homework assignments:

1 pack of 8-16 crayons

Glue

1 pair of scissors

Sharpened pencils

Scotch tape

A small package of lined paper

A small package of colored construction paper

A ruler (inches on one site and centimeters on the other)

Please note the following school/class regulations:

   Children must be on line at spot #15 at 8:20 in the morning.
   Pick up is at 2:40 in the afternoon.
   All notes/notices sent home must be returned with the child the next day, signed by the parent.
   Parents must sign all homework before it is brought to school.

Lunch rules:

   No glass bottles are allowed in school.
   Children are not permitted to bring in gum, or junk food- potato chips, soda, candies...

The sooner you can get these supplies, the less hectic it will be for everyone. So good luck on your supply hunt. As always, if you have a question or concern, you can always send in a note with your child.
