Our Spelling Schedule

New words are usually given on Friday.
Spelling tests are usually on Friday.

In general you can count on the following:

pencil  Friday: words 1,2,3,4 and 5 five times each.

          pencil  Monday: words 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 five times each.

pencil  Tuesday: words 1,2,3,4 and 5 five times each.

          pencil  Wednesday: words 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 five times
                      each.

pencil  Thursday: all the words (1-10) three times each.

STUDY FOR THE FRIDAY SPELLING TEST!!!
I prefer to give the new words on Friday, to allow
students the extra time afforded by the weekend to
study words for the next week.

Important!

If there is no spelling list brought home, then

              1) I was probably absent and the list was not given to the students.
              2) The week was short (several non-school weekdays.) In this case
the list would continue into the next week, with the test the following
                 Friday.
              3) I forgot (VERY UNLIKELY!) or
              4) (MOST LIKELY) A monster ate it and it didn't make it home.
