In general you can count on the following:

            1 double sided reading/phonics sheet.

            1 double sided math sheet.

            5 spelling words to write 3 times each.
                     (Click for details!)

            A short reading selection to read
                     ALOUD with the parent.

            A penmanship assignment.

Important!

If there is no homework brought home, then

              1) I was probably absent and the substitute teacher may have forgotten
                 to hand it out.
              2) I forgot (VERY UNLIKELY!) or
              3) (MOST LIKELY) A monster ate it and it didn't make it home.
